Installation Manager – Kendal
We are recruiting for a highly skilled and motivated installation professional, specialising in the installation of fire and security systems in commercial and domestic premises. The IM will build and develop a team of fire and security installation professionals, to deliver compliant installation works across a designated region. The Installation Manager is a key role for our business, the IM reports to the Group Install Manager. You will lead and contribute to your installation teams growth through identifying opportunities for their development, and create long term, trusting relationships with new and existing customers within your region. You will partner with the surveyors from your branch ensuring all projects are managed in line with any quotations given to the customer. You will ensure any addition human resources, stock or time required on projects is verified and confirmed with the relevant surveyors. You will manage the installation project team to ensure end-to-end project management is provided and a clear handover process to the service team is in play. All aspects of administration to support smooth operations must be demonstrated and all behaviours in support of our values must be evident throughout your employment.
Relevant Skills/Experience:
- Qualified fire alarm & security alarm technician with a wealth of experience in commercial fire detection/extinguishing systems and security systems, including: Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Intruder Alarms, Access Control & CCTV
- Be familiar with a wide range and models of fire and intruder systems and technologies
- Have a good understanding of British Standard BS 5839
- Have a good understanding of NSI & BAFE
- Have sound electrical knowledge
- Level 3 award in the requirements of fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings
- Able to work on own initiative
- Flexible in working approach to tasks
- Current UK driving license
- Competent understanding and ability to arrange permits, risk assessments and method statements
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience in providing solutions and support to customers
- Recognition of customer requirements, negotiating and providing viable solutions whilst managing and meeting customer expectations
- To be responsible for project delivery, including planning, coordinating, scheduling and all financial elements for project delivery
